2020. Set in the year 2030, the Idir explores what the world could be a decade into the future. From advanced materials, through medicine, to bioaugmentation and infrastructure, we stand on the precipice of a great age of science and invention.
Strativerse
2020. The "Strativerse" refers to the layers of Mixed Reality (MR) that will exist on top of our existing analogue world. Facilitated by IoT, MR hardware and data streams, a new universe is emerging, visible only to those with hardware to perceive it.
The Virtual Economy
2020. The Virtual Economy is a system of sophisticated platforms, fledgling marketplaces, skilled nixers, volatile assets, and ambitious pioneers that exist uniquely in virtual environments.
2019. Our privacy is determined by the choices we make every day. We have created Will, a fictional virtual assistant set 10 years in the future, to explore the future privacy implications of our current decisions.
2018. The advent of hyper-realistic synthetic media has created a whole new class of pervasive cyber risk. This is a distinctly contemporary threat. The technologies that are freeing us may also be caging us.
2014. A report on how new consumer technologies would change banking. The report considered the emergence of Fintechs and posited that whilst it was likely to change the offering it was unlikely that they would fundamentally alter mechanics of banking. The report considered the role of big-tech and the emerging business models of banking.
2014. A book exploring the the ways in which technology was and would change the finance industry, regulation and customer behaviour.
2009: The New Normal explores the consequences of rapid technological and socio-cultural change in the wake of 2008’s global financial crisis. It introduces the concept of “Open Banking”, a model that sees institutional finance players focus almost exclusively on developing core resources in 1) Capital, 2) Risk, 3) Compliance, 4) Data, 5) Identity and 6) Security whilst relying on 3rd party propositions for the provision of products and services.
